Welcome to the School Ten Elementary Music Page. My name is Mr. David Ackerman, and I will be teaching your child music this year. I have been teaching for many years, but Elementary Music is my passion! I love having students create and explore music at this age. You will be surprised at what the students are able to do! Students will be learning music through the use of tonal, rhythm, and melodic patterns through the use of Music Learning Theory. Research shows that people learn music more like a language, and that you need to be exposed to it and build a listening vocabulary before learning to sing.
